This Privacy Policy describes how CodenVibe IT LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PatchPings mobile application (the "App") and the PatchPings website at patchpings.com (the "Website"), together referred to as the "Service". By using PatchPings, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

01Who we are

PatchPings is a mobile application and website that allows users to scan websites for security issues, view results, and learn how to fix them. PatchPings is operated by CodenVibe IT LLC, a company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States.

02Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service.

Information you provide

When you sign in with Google:

• Your name (as provided by your Google account)

• Your email address (as provided by your Google account)

We use Google OAuth for authentication. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Information collected automatically

When you use the App or Website:

  • Approximate location (country only), derived from your IP address
  • App and device information, such as platform (Android or iOS) and app version
  • Usage data, such as features used and actions taken within the Service

URLs you submit for scanning

  • When signed in, the website URLs you scan are stored as part of your scan history
  • Scan results, including grades, detected issues, and timestamps

Guest users

If you use PatchPings as a guest without signing in:

  • We do not collect your name or email
  • Your scan count is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers
  • URLs you scan as a guest are not permanently stored on our servers

Cookies and local storage

Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies. For details, please see our Cookie Policy. The App does not use cookies but stores limited data locally on your device, such as your theme preference.

Push notification tokens

If you enable push notifications, we collect a device notification token in order to deliver notifications to your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or in the App.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the core functionality of the Service — scanning websites and returning results
  • Save and display your scan history
  • Authenticate your account and keep it secure
  • Detect your approximate country to improve and analyze the Service
  • Send you transactional emails, such as account confirmation and password reset
  • Send push notifications you have opted into, such as product updates or scan reminders
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.

  • Scan history and account data are retained while your account is active
  • If you delete your account or request deletion, your data is removed from our active systems within 30 days
  • Guest data (scan count) is stored only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App
  • We may retain certain information where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes

We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it, including:

  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Access controls limiting who can access data
